Doug Denny has been the firm’s managing partner since 2000. Doug has practiced general maritime and civil law since 1974. His areas of focus include Probate, Estate Planning and Real Estate matters. He also counsels clients in matters of taxation and the operation of small businesses, both maritime and land based. For many years Doug has been corporate counsel and corporate Secretary for an intermodal transportation business, which has multiple domestic and international offices and operations. The Maritime Law Association of the United States recognized Doug as a Proctor in Admiralty. He has received Martindale-Hubbell’s highest possible peer review rating. Prior to practicing law, Doug served as a deck officer on US-flag merchant vessels. He holds the rank of Captain (retired) in the United States Naval Reserve. Doug is a Past President of The Propeller Club–Port of Cleveland and the Cleveland Chapter of the Naval Reserve Association. Education
