William D. Carle III, Senior Counsel

Bill Carle is a retired partner who previously handled a large assortment of maritime cases, with particular expertise in cargo-related matters.  In 2005, he was recognized for his 50 years in the practice of law by the Cleveland Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cuyahoga County (Ohio) Commissioners.  As a member of the Board of Trustees of the Great Lakes Historical Society, he was instrumental in bringing the Str. William G. Mather museum ship to the Port of Cleveland.  Well-known in the legal maritime community, he was active in a number of professional associations, including the International Association of Defense Counsel.  Bill is a Past President of The Propeller Club of Cleveland and served as a Trustee of Lakewood Christian Service Center.
