THE FIRM

• Ray, Robinson, Carle & Davies P.L.L. and its predecessors have engaged in the practice of law in Cleveland, Ohio, since 1890. It is the second-oldest law firm in the city and the oldest firm practicing maritime law. Since its inception, the Firm has practiced admiralty and maritime law representing both local and international vessel owners and their respective insurers in various matters including litigation, vessel sales and purchases, documentation and collections on behalf of lenders and marinas. Ray, Robinson, Carle & Davies P.L.L. is listed as a correspondent for a number of foreign insurance companies when their vessels visit Great Lakes ports, particularly in Lake Erie.

•  In recent years the Firm's practice has expanded to include the representation of people with personal injury or wrongful death claims due to auto accidents, products that are defective, pleasure boats, and premises defects. We believe that our expertise in court has led to the development of a successful practice assisting individuals and their families.

•  Ray, Robinson, Carle & Davies P.L.L. has settled and tried a myriad of claims with very significant damages and will work to bring a claim to a successful conclusion.

•  The Firm's other practice areas include product liability, labor and employment law, estate planning and administration, collections, and insurance defense. We have developed a networked computer system to track complex pleadings, product information, work histories and medical data in mass tort litigation. We have been named as admiralty national counsel by a large shipowner in the coordination of its defense of the mass tort litigation.

•  Our attorneys bring diverse backgrounds to our Firm that allow us to handle a wide range of legal problems. They are admitted to practice in trial and appellate courts throughout the Great Lakes region and routinely travel to various states as the need arises.
